Needs Assessment

The IASS Study “Baseline Needs Assessment” describes the results of the needs assessment launched by Sustainable Villages Foundation in April 2021, under the lead of the IMPACT-R team at the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam, and in close cooperation with the African Center of Excellence for Energy and Sustainable Development of the University of Rwanda and HEDERA, providing the digital tools for basic needs assessment.

The target was to have a baseline assessment of the pilot villages, aiming at understanding the needs of the target population and to be able to track the improvements against the original situation documented in the baseline.
